Skills

  • Add new passive skill "Cooldown Reduction"
    • Reduces the cooldown of all active skills
    • cooldown reduction also affects the main gun of the ship
  • Change main gun to be a standard active skill
    • up until now main gun was treated differently than other active skills
    • for all purposes main gun is now treated like any other active skill

UI & Controls

  • Improve touch controls
    • the touch joystick is now always invisible
    • it does not matter where you touch the screen, the joystick is everywhere
  • Add continue game button in main menu
    • you can now continue a game the main menu
    • that means you can pause the game, go back to the main menu to change settings for example and pick up your game where you left it
    • closing the application (or the browser) will still mean that you lose all progress
  • Add skill bar
    • a new HUD element at the bottom of the screen
    • it shows all skill that you acquired during the game
    • for every skill it displays the level of the skill and the cooldown
    • at the moment not every skill has a pictogram, so some passive skills will be indistinguishable in the skill bar
  • Add encyclopedia of skill and enemies
    • from the main menu you can access new pages "Enemies" and "Skills"
    • they will show you all the different enemies and skills that there are in the game
  • Improve map selection

Misc

  • Refactoring of various classes to improve maintainability of the code base
